oh wow that sounds good. what kind of documentary work will u be doing?
:iconiskandhar:
I was two of the original contributors with the original group. That ended when the guy who started it died from a gunshot wound to the head.
Officially it was suicide. Most of the staff, could be sour grapes, believed that it was more likely that Gabrielle did the deed.
He had begun High Times and Toni Brown, the art director took it to a 3 mil readership, making it one of the hottest mags on the market.
Then Toni died I learned at a party from her ex asst. that she died a mysterious death. I was on Kauai at the time and thought a surfer and eating a mostly fruit and veggie diet, almost died from an ulcer that almost killed me. That was probably sererate and to do with an encounter with an atomic sub captain I helped gather 'shrooms, then spilled his guts.
SO an ex HT writer/editor I was talking to trying to get interview contacts for "Who killed Toni Brown?", has prodded me into making it inclusive of Toni but making the thrust "Who Killed Tom Forcade?"
Already back in touch with the NYC writer scene and am going to find ex Warhol pals, as Toni and Andy were pals in the late seventies.
Steve, my friend, wants to co-write it with me, I am going to film it and am already putting together a crew and interviews.
Very excited as to where this may lead, even if it is my own death. I made it in New York and still have a bit of a rep there. Excited in plunging back into the thick of it.
I stopped writing a while back out of protest and decided not to contribute anything to society. Became a hermit then after my wife left.
I have some acting royalties that pay pittance but enough.
Anyway that is the project. May have to move to NYC for a while and stay with my friend. God I would love time in the apple.
Never enough for me.
You asked and I just hit a bong of KB which is more like low level acid.
later,
